Last Sunday sermon notes. #KingdomMen #CWCSJ (at Christian Worship Center Bay Area)

"They brought them before the magistrates and said, “These men are Jews, and are throwing our city into an uproar" -Acts 16:20

Paul and Silas knew how to throw a city into an uproar. When the Romans were uncomfortable with what and Paul and Silas were doing, they quickly tried to shut them down. Let’s quickly look at what Paul and Silas were actually doing that caused this uproar:

  • They were leading people
  • Helping churches become stronger in faith
  • Helping churches grow
  • Preaching and teaching the good news
  • Baptizing people
  • Praying
  • Cast out bad spirits

As I look at this list, I realize these are normal attributes/actions for a follower of Christ. If Paul and Silas were accused of starting an uproar so should I, so should we. It’s time to rise up, time to be bold, it’s time to start an uproar!
